Fabric Development
We have extensive experience in developing bespoke woven and non-woven fabrics and will work together with clients in order to design the ideal solution to suit the requirements. Such bespoke materials can include new hybrid wovens, new weave patterns or new wovens using speciality fibres and materials. We can start this bespoke service with an order of just 7m for sampling and testing.
Multiaxials & Narrow Width Woven Tapes and Braids
Within our standard ranges of reinforcements we also stock a range of multiaxial fabrics, narrow width woven tapes, and flat and tubular braids for a variety of material weight options. Our multiaxial fabrics come in a range of materials, such as carbon, e-glass and aramid, and our woven tapes and braids are available in virtually any fibre type. Powder-coating, laminating and slitting services are also available for our tapes and braids.
Non-woven Technical Veils
Our range of non-woven technical veils incorporates a variety of fibre types and can provide the following properties: corrosion and wear resistance, static dissipation, lightning strike and fire protection. Providing a cost-effective means of realising the advantages of high performance speciality fibres in a variety of composite structures, the non-woven technical veils supplied by PRF are available with an area weight range of 4 to 200 g/m² (depending on the fibre type).
Epoxy Resin Systems
Our class-leading range of epoxy resin systems is used extensively throughout the wind energy industry. Our comprehensive range contains a variety of systems, varying from low viscosity systems for room temperature laminating, RTM and resin infusion to systems that operate in high temperatures, specialist gelcoat formulations and adhesives.
Our renewable energy clients also benefit greatly from our composite kit cutting service; the ideal solution to provide consistently cut, high quality kits with reduced labour time and cost. We supply our kits bagged, labelled and ready for immediate use.
